John has over 20 years of experience in executive leadership positions and has delivered several successful exits as CEO of well-known technology companies including Salesforce.com and Hyperion as well as Navis, the leading provider of shipping logistics software. Prior to his CEO roles, John held sales management positions at Oracle and Arbor Software and was a systems engineer at EDS (Electronic Data Systems). John holds an MBA from Golden Gate University and began his career with a B.S. in engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, serving for five years as an engineer in the nuclear submarine service.

This talk will discuss the changes and trends within the industry that have given rise to incredible opportunities for new languages and technologies to play significant roles. Derek Collison is widely regarded as an expert in distributed and cloud computing systems. With tenures at VMware, Google, and TIBCO, he specializes in distributed systems architecture and high performance event based systems. His current focus is Cloud Computing and Platform as a Service (PaaS) systems such as Cloud Foundry, which he designed and architected. |
